In accordance with Board Policy 5-24, Meter Installations:
 
Any Property Owner wishing to establish UCEMC electric service will be required to submit a proof of ownership or other documentation suitable to UCEMC before Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation (UCEMC) can offer electrical service.
 
Any Tenant wishing to establish UCEMC electric service when renting a home, apartment or dwelling will be required to submit a legal executed copy of a lease agreement or other documentation suitable to UCEMC signed by the property owner before Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation (UCEMC) can offer electrical service.
 
Property Owner/Landlord (UCEMC member that has a continuation of service for rental property form on file with UCEMC) having a period during which there is no tenant may contact any UCEMC District Office/Customer Service @ 800-261-2940 to have the electric service transferred back into property owner’s name while preparing the property for the next tenant.
