School Uplift is open for enrollment!

We are excited to partner with our friends at @TVAEnergyRight to recruit the next cohort of schools for 2024-2025.

Participating schools can expect to save an average of $13,000 in annual energy costs by engaging the entire school in energy efficiency practices. And all schools who complete the year-long program receive an award of a $10,000 to $25,000 Learning Environment Grant!

85th Annual Meeting of the Members

Here in the Upper Cumberland, the second Saturday in September is something extraordinary for UCEMC members who never fail to attend the annual meeting. This year will be at a NEW VENUE!

We see friends and neighbors we sometimes haven’t seen since last year. We cheer when we win a door prize, and we look forward to tasting the delicious fish or chicken in the afternoon. We come early to hear about what’s new at our electric co-op and stay until the afternoon for the fellowship and the fun.

Is Your Organization a Non-Profit?

The State of Tennessee requires periodic renewal of the state’s recognition of a nonprofit’s tax-exempt status—reminder: 2023 is a renewal year for the Sales and Use Tax Certificate. The current certificates UCEMC has on file will expire on June 30.

Examples of Nonprofits Include:

  • Church, temple, synagogue, or mosque
  • Boys’ or Girls’ club
  • Volunteer fire department
  • 911 ECD
